Ahhh, back to me!

I'll be honest, I'm a bit uncomfortable with the grabbag concept (at least as I interpret it) so preparing items for mine stretched me.  Not that being stretched is a bad thing, mind you, but I was absolutely delighted to go back to working on something that felt a bit more "me."  And I can already tell it's one of my favorites!  The color palette was plucked from a real life drive past Montana fields that are ripe and ready for harvest, and the most beautiful glowing gold you can imagine.  Combine that with a stormy sky backdrop and the evergreen windbreak near the farmhouse, and you have Montana Gold.

Arghhhhhh!!!

No, that's not frustration, it's Pirate!  Because it's that time again - Pirate month at PDW!

Urban Sunset Collab with Dani's Delusions!

When I saw the photo that my friend Dani (of Dani's Delusions) posted on Facebook of her new comforter set, I remember thinking, "Hey, that would make a great color palette for a scrapkit!"  LOL, just a few hours later she wanted to know if I wanted to do a collab with her and she had the perfect palette...  and the rest is history :)

This beautiful palette was inspired by this photo:

I love the interplay of the flowers and the old brass and the candlelight :)  It made me think of old and new together and I tried to capture a little of that feel in this kit

Mmmm, Summer!

OK, I'm not a huge fan of summer heat, I freely admit that.  But there are other summery things that I just love, and the colors and plants and flowers and berries are part of the good stuff ;)  I put some of that feel into my latest design, "Summersweet." A little whimsical, with paper and sugar-glittered fruit and vines, and lots of soft slightly shabby papers, it's perfect for sweet summer photos.
