True Love

I'm not going to lie.  I have sort of a quirky non-literal approach to scrapbooking, probably because I am more motivated by color than theme.    And when I saw this pretty renaissance lady graphic, I thought I wanted to make her a kit, LOL.  I loved the colors, loved the look.  And then, because I'm trying to get better at making things that non-quirky folks can use, too, I spent some time thinking about what sort of kit she would fit into.  And Valentine's Day was the answer.  Because what is more romantic than the Knight in Shining Armor and his Fair Maiden?

Turns out it's also a really good kit for renaissance fairs and halloween costumes, LOL.  Lots of hearts and castles and beautiful colors really have very few scrapping limits.

This set of templates is a little out of the ordinary, as all of the "photo" spots are also the same size as Pocket cards - 3x4, 4x4, and 6x4.  This makes it easy to pop in one of the cards if you don't have enough photos.  There are a variety of dimensional cards in the matching pack, or just use those spots for cards you already have and want to use :)  (I called it "gridless" because they aren't in a rigid grid style layout.  I waivered on the title, because it sounds kind of grim, LOL.  But it said what I wanted to say so I left it ;)

I created a couple of layouts this week with Fair Maiden.  I think it's ironic that neither one of them actually uses the pretty lady, LOL:

The second layout was difficult, because I actually had to put my own picture on it (and THREE TIMES no less!)  But my husband really is my knight in shining armor and I wanted to document that, and so there you have it.

I hope this inspires you to scrap tales of valor and happy times for yourself :)  Fair Maiden (and all of the pieces/parts) will be at the introductory sale price through Monday at my Digichick shop.  'Til next time, happy scrapping!

Starstruck

One of my all-time favorites returns to my studio this week:

Since my project for the year is to use the Project Life app on my phone/tablet to get caught up with my backlog of photos, I created a new set to match this collection.  I'm really loving the dimensional look!

There are some great templates that go along with the set, too.  I've used this kit often for my own scrapping, and this is one I did with my "Grand-dog" and the Celestial photo trays:

You can pick up just the new cards, or if you are missing this beauty in your stash you can get the big money-saving bundle; all at the introductory sale price through Monday.

You can  visit my shop HERE, and until next time, happy scrapping!

A New Beginning

There's something so wonderful about a new page, a fresh start - an opportunity to re-invent yourself and do things differently.  That's the spirit behind "A New Beginning."  I even used a completely different sort of palette - a bit frosty and cool (can we talk about how much snow and how many days below zero we have had so far this winter?!) but still cheerful.

There are coordinating useful goodies, too:

I have wonderful samples for you to ogle, too - I just love the creativity here!

So much frosty goodness!
A New Beginning will be at the introductory sale price through Monday, so if you find yourself in need of a cuppa and some quiet time it's a perfect opportunity to scrap some new beginnings :)    You can  visit my  shop HERE, and until next time, happy scrapping!
