Anchored in Hope

I have a new collection in the store today. I've wanted to do a nautical-themed kit for some time but couldn't quite wrap my head around how to go about it without being too themey or worse, clichéd. I finally settled on a color palette and thematic variation that I love, and I hope you love it, too!

Lots of extras with this one.  They are available separately, or in the money saving bundle:

As always, beautiful examples from my talented team:

There's also a new addition to the Photo Cluster family:

Sometimes you don't want a whole page of photos, just a few:

These photos were from 2005.  Whew.  Do you know how good it feels to get them off my hard drive and into a layout?!  And it was quick and easy :)

Anchored in Hope will be at the introductory sale price this week.  Enjoy, and Happy Scrapping!

Spring Cleaning, Birthday Sales, and TAPE!

Yesterday was the first day of Spring.  It was also my birthday.  And since I would never clean my house on my birthday, one being fun, and the other NOT being fun, I just cleaned some kits out of my store and put them in the @rchive @ttic at a reduced price.

And then I put my store on sale :)

I do have a new set of Photo Clusters in the shop.  They are extra spiffy, because they come with TAPE!

Enjoy the sale, I'm going to go sit in the sun and listen to the birds :)  Happy Scrapping!

Miss Mary Mack

I have quirks.  I'm not ashamed to admit it.  One of them might be demonstrated by this week's digi kit.  I will get a mental picture of something and get a little obsessed, and chip away at it until it leaves me alone. Not all of these items see the light of day, thank goodness, as they turn out being truly awful.  But sometimes the result is pretty successful, and I think that was the case this week.

Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back.
She asked her mother, mother, mother
for fifty cents, cents, cents
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants
Jump the fence, fence, fence.
They jumped so high, high, high
they reached the sky, sky, sky
And didn't come back, back, back
Till the 4th of July, ly, ly!

Some of you are nodding your head, because you either jumped rope or played a handclapping game to this little ditty.  Or knew a little girl who did.  For some reason it ran through my head recently and I just had this cool mental picture of a row of silver buttons in a digiscrapping kit.  It grew from there, and now I present "Miss Mary Mack:"

She's a classy girl, our Mary, with a sense of style and adventure.

Now, you may be wondering if such a kit is going to contain ridiculous items to go along with it's silly rhyme.  I think these lovely layouts show that it's pretty versatile, but if you want the lowdown on the quirk, here it is:

1. Jumprope rhyme (this was how my older daughter learned it)
2. 4 July.  Ha ha, sneaky, right?
3. The Fence.  No ugly fences for this elephant, nosirree.
4. Fifty Cents.  Unless you are not from the US.  Not sure what various exchange rates would be ;)
5. Silver Buttons all down her back.  This is the mental picture that set this whole thing off.
6. An elephant.  Cute fella.
7. Another elephant.  I like elephants.  This one is cute too!
And of course the star scatters refer to "touching the sky."

So there you have it - fun AND elegant!  And it's on sale for a limited time, so get your scrap on with style :)

Love and Laughter

We're coming up on a favorite holiday of mine - I think it dates back to the fun of wearing green in grade school so I wouldn't get pinched :)  Now I just love it because I love green, and Ireland fascinates me... it's nice to have an excuse to play with the theme.   And here's the kit:

Rich, earthy colors and Celtic motifs combine with vintage touches to create a bit of the old world, but still practical enough for daily scrapping. The title is drawn from an Irish Blessing -
"May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!"

Lots of extras - you can mix and match to get the look you want.  Also available in the bundled version.
Some beautiful samples from my team:

And because my favorite way to scrap right now is to use a photo tray, there are a pair of shamrock trays to go along with all the Irish goodness ;)

These photos have been on my hard drive for over a year, but I just hadn't had a chance to sit down and scrap them the way I felt they should be scrapped.  In twenty minutes, I had a nifty page that did the photos justice without being too boring, or too busy.  And it was fun!  I guess this is my version of project life, LOL.

After all of this was tucked away in my store and distributed to CT members, I realized that I failed to provide a single journal spot.  How humiliating.  So here's a set that everyone can enjoy:

you can download it HERE

Have a wonderful week, and happy scrapping!
