Shadowy things.

It seems as though everyone is talking about the upcoming Solar Eclipse... well, in North America :)  I have my viewing-glasses all ready to go, even though we aren't in the absolute path.  I was in college the last time something like this occurred where I live, and I remember it being pretty interesting.  I wish I had taken a photo then!  For sure I will this time around.  So I prepared new templates to make those snapshots (I am not enough of a photographer to call them anything more glamorous, LOL) quick and easy to scrap.

This created a bit of a challenge for my Creative Team, because it's quite difficult to scrap a future event :)  But they rose to the challenge (and also demonstrated that the templates are versatile):

It was about this time that I started to notice that many of them were using my Celestial Bundle for their scrapping, so it seemed logical to give you a coupon for that collection in case you want to use it as well :)  So
Celestial_Event will do that for you- good through the end of August.

I also have something new and different for me in my shop this week - a set of drop-shadow styles for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.  This is something that has been on my to-do list for a long time, because I think shadowing is key in digital scrapbooking, and I also love the convenience of styles.

I have included 28 different shadows in both multiply blending mode and linear burn blending mode to give you lots of options.  The shadow direction is set to global light, so whatever you choose as your angle of light the shadows will automatically line up.

So there you have it - all sorts of shadows this week :)  You can  visit my  shop HERE, and until next time, happy scrapping!

Happy Birthday Sale time!

We've been preparing behind the scenes for The Digichick's 12th birthday party.  It wasn't until today, however, that I sat down and figured out that this is my 9th anniversary as a designer. I'm so grateful that I get to do something that I enjoy so much, and I want to say thank you for your support :)

It seemed an appropriate time to release these Birthstone Templates:

I once mentioned (or maybe it was thirty seven times that I mentioned it) that I am a fool for shiny things.  These were inspired by shampoo and conditioner bottles, LOL.  I love the way the "stained" glass looks, but you have the option to leave it out, too.  In fact, the glass pieces are quite large files and I've packaged them separately, so no matter which file format you download, make sure you get the glass, too!  Then just drag your choice into the appropriate layer on the template.
I also created shiny papers, because, well, shiny.

And in case you are not addicted to the bling, there's a fairly ordinary set of jeweled templates, too:

And of course you can purchase the bundled option if you want to make a calendar and have lots of options :)

I also have a new kit inspired by my summer obsess...er, activity - back yard bird-watching:

One of the challenges for this sort of kit is the sheer variety of colors of birds.  I stuck to more basic "nature" colors but added lots of accent papers you can use to help draw the eye around your layout and compliment mother nature's little masterpieces.

And some inspiration for you -

I hope you find some inspiration here!
Check out the sale (45% off) HERE, and until next time, happy scrapping!
