I'm
a little bit amazed that it's December already. Time seems to fly by!
I have a new Christmas kit for you this week, inspired by my daughters
living in southern climes - I assure you that there are no flamingos in
Montana this time of year :) But I love this color combo and it's fun
to have sparkly flamingos in the holiday spirit!
And I have a brand new template freebie for you, too:
You can download it HERE. I'd love to see your creations!

New Christmas CU!
I'm
always torn this time of year - I know it's time to start thinking
about designing Christmas goodies, but my internal self still wants to
wallow in Fall delights, LOL. However I exercised some discipline and
here we have some festive baubles to adorn your Christmas kits. And the
color palette is cheerful and bright (and easily recolored to match
your inspired scheme).

Flower Frenzy 26 & 27
I
have two new flower packs for you this week. Since I'm moderately
obsessed over not using the same flower over and over in kits, I have
included several components in each that allow you to modify your
flowers and individualize them for your kit. Even adding a layer of
petals or turning it a few degrees will make it your own!
As an added bonus to my blog readers, you can use the code Sherwood_News20 to take 20% off of your entire CU purchase! You can visit my new shop HERE, and until next time, happy creating!

New "Neutrals"
Hi
everyone! I've got a new Commercial Use pack in my shop this week,
celebrating "neutral" elements to serve as building blocks for creating
one-of-a-kind elements for your kits :)
I love the texture of the fabric and jute, and the buttons add a nice pop of contrast that will work with many color schemes.

Fall CU
We
are on the verge of my very favorite time of year. I'm not very
"outdoorsy" but if any season will tempt me to spend more time outside,
it's fall. I love the cool crisp air and the clear sunshine, especially
after a couple of months of smoky skies from all the fires in the
West.
I have two new product sets that will be perfect for fall scrapping and designing. Flower Frenzy 24 is comprised of cooler, more subtle fall colors that will be flexible enough to blend into winter, and the Paper Fall packs have subtle fall colors with tons of lovely paper texture and irregularity to add interest to your designs.
I've packaged the two Paper Fall packs in a money saving bundle, but you'll need to act fast as it will only be available for a short time!

CU Shop Opening sale!
I'm
so pleased to announce the opening of my new Commercial Use shop
exclusively at Pickleberrypop! I'm delighted to have found a new "home"
for digital scrapping - such friendly folks there, and it feels good to
be creating again.
In addition to older products, I have three new packages available:
I do so love fall! As always, I have tried to include enough pieces so you can create for more than one kit without everything looking exactly the same. I also have a set of notebooks - mine seem to be languishing on the shelf because I like typing better than writing, so I thought I'd give these virtual versions a try:

New CU flowers and a freebie!
Today is the fifth sunny day in a row. I feel almost reborn :) My apologies to those of you who hear me whine about no sun this winter - I'd like to say I'm not normally this much of a pansy, but I have a sneaking suspicion that wouldn't be true :)
Finally some new CU flowers for your stash. They lean towards springier colors but still deep and rich, because for me at least, it's easier to adjust color if there's actually some there in the first place, LOL. There are a variety of shapes - some individual layers for building your own unique blooms, and some ready to go. In the back of my head, my layouts are always sort of a floral arrangement, and one might wish to use two of the same type of flower, but you don't want them to look exactly the same or you pick up that odd repetition subconsciously. Or I could be overthinking it, too. But now you know what goes through my head when I put a pack together ;)
I've included a flower center with stamens in the pack for one flower building look. And then I put together this pack of shiny gems that could also do duty for flower centers (or scatters, or brads, or whatever). They are my gift to you this week, and I hope you find them useful!
You can download them HERE.
Til next time, may the sun shine brightly and happy designing!

All I want for Valentine's Day is sunshine.
Another
snowy week here. The sun is fighting desperately to peek through this
morning after a whole week of gloom; needless to say I am cheering it on
with all that I have in me ;) We've added another 16 inches of snow
this week, too. To say that I am underwhelmed might be a bit of an
understatement LOL.
It's always interesting to me when I choose a color palette for a kit, but it seems to end up differently than I had imagined it. That was the case with this Valentines-ish kit Just Us.
I expected it to be lighter and more ethereal, somehow, but this is much more "me," so I don't really know where those expectations came from. I rather like its sturdy, well-grounded, practical loveliness. Much more useful for real life, I think.
There are accompanying plaids & solids, as well as a nice cheerful pack of extra accents. I love what the creative ladies have done, too:
I love the variety they have showcased so nicely!
Just Us will be at the introductory sale price through Sunday in my shop, and don't forget to check out my free template at the Digichick's February Template challenge!
Til next time, happy scrapping (and less snow, hopefully!)

Winter Blues
I've
never really had a problem with winter, but this year it's eating away
at my happy just as fast as I can build it back up, LOL. I wonder why
that is? I finally broke down and bought one of those Happy Lights that
are supposed to - well, I dunno the technical stuff. So now I sit in
front of my little light and try not to whine that it's another cloudy
day with more snow on the way.
Ironically, all this gloom and probably self-imposed misery interfered quite a lot with the completion of this kit:
I really do love blue. Some more than others, but there aren't many shades that I actually dislike (unlike our good friend orange, with whom I am not often friendly LOL) So I knew I wanted to do a kit with many blues and it seemed logical that winter was a good time for it (especially since wayyyy back when there was a summer blues kit which really was only partly blue, but still.) So here it is, in all its Blue glory.
Admittedly, I love blue, but I think it's a particularly pretty kit in spite of the potential for despair, LOL. And there are no snowflakes, so you can scrap blue things independent of weather that may only be attacking MY front yard... my daughter in Houston cheerfully pointed out that she gets two more hours of light than I do each day. I say she deserved the ice storm for bragging, LOL.
Some pretty examples from my team and the TDC creative ladies:
Also, I provided the template for the Template Challenge at the Digichick for February, so be sure to check it out!
And now the sun is struggling to peek through the gloom, so I'm going to take the opportunity to run some errands and soak it up :) Happy scrapping!
