Thriftique

After working with pastels for a couple of weeks, I had quite a yearning for some richer, deeper colors and textures.  Loved this palette, and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out!  Thriftique?? you may be saying... yes, I totally made that one up.  I wanted to capture the feel of the little thrift stores and antique stores - a little junky, a little old fashioned, very rough around the edges, but steeped in the patina of life lived, and fascinating!

I was so pleased with the results that I scrapped with it instead of doing my blog post on time, LOL!

Another Sassy Spring

We've been blessed with some unseasonably warm and wonderful weather lately... it appears to be making my color choices very fresh and springy :)  This is a revamp of a kit I did for a guest spot last year, although you won't recognize too much in the new version.  I broadened the color palette, added lots of fun patterns, and there are many new embellishments to make it easier to cluster.  Plus, two fun alphas in pink and yellow will add to your scrapping flexibility :)

Photo Project 6!

I just returned from a 5 day vacation in tropical paradise, so I've got forty-eleven chores waiting for me (and no desire to do ANY of them) but I wanted to give you a peek at what is in my store this week :)  

The Photo Project packs are designed to help you scrap your P365/52 photos quickly and sized for camera photos (612 pixels square). Photo Project 6 contains a set of gallery-style frames and includes brass month plates and brass date buttons (which can both be used separately), as well as a brass and paper journal plate (shown in the example).

Hi there!  I have some new goodies in my store this week for your scrapping pleasure ;)

I'm really enjoying The Photo Projects.  I've been keeping up pretty well with my instagram photos this year, and The Photo Project is helping me keep them scrapped, as well!  Ideal for any square camera photo (or crop and size to fit!) and seven fit nicely on a page, making it ideal for P365/52.

Next is a fun set of silver brads - just a whiff of whimsy and a fun little accent for your page!  Use them as fasteners, or just decor!

 Next is a tiled silver alpha - this one coordinates with my previous "Charmed" silver alpha, but it's a little easier to work with and has upper case, lower case, symbols, and numbers (and some punctuation) so it's very versatile :)  I've included some silver bars to mimic the look of an Italian slide charm bracelet, but you can definitely use the tiles alone, too.

And you can pick up the bundle pack of accessories at a savings :)

Winter's Deep and The Photo Project 4

I keep falling in love with color palettes.  This particular one was inspired by this watercolor by Liga Marta Klavina (see her work HERE).  I loved the melancholy of the picture, and the soft, somber colors. I wanted to interpret that into a digi kit that could be used for sorrowful or melancholy events, or perhaps just for introspection or inner thoughts.

The result was "Winter's Deep."  While it reminds me of a winter landscape, there are no overt winter symbols.  No snowflakes or icicles :)  And flowers and green leaves are a little hard to find in the winter as well, but I think the colors and style lend themselves well to wintery type layouts, whether literal or figurative...

Some of my wonderful team also felt that it was a good kit for scrapping boys (always a useful thing to have!)
